Restyling time for the Fiat Tipo which is renewed with a change of look announced in the name of dynamism and technology, with a more youthful design and a range that expands by enriching new Cross Type, a version with high wheels that will complement the traditional 4-door, 5-door and Station Wagon variants. The model of the Italian house thus meets the needs of the market and customers, presenting an unprecedented crossover variant that combines space and comfort.
The new Fiat Tipo Cross has a decidedly more gritty appearance, with a revised front grille. The trim is 4 mm higher compared to the traditional version thanks to a new suspension setting and the introduction of a rim-tire solution that Fiat has previously proposed on the 500X. The Cross Type tires are also larger, giving the model an even more robust look. Thanks to the new structure, the driving position is raised, with the driver who is facilitated in entering and exiting the passenger compartment, at the same time making it easier for passengers to use the car, as well as for loading and unloading.
Outside they stand out some details from a real SUV, such as the tailpipes on the entire side and on the front, where there are also a skid plate and a specific bumper with a pronounced bull-bar that gives the car a more solid and muscular look, passing through the side skirts, the rear extractor and the practical roof bars until now only present on the SW version. Type Cross therefore follows the path traced by the similar variant of Panda, looking at a wider audience and embracing the different needs of customers. From a technological point of view, it takes advantage of the range upgrade that brings the UConnect 5 infotainment system to the restyling combined with the 10.25 ”screen.
Amplia is also the provision of security systems and driver assistance, including blind spot monitoring system, automatic headlamp adjustment, driver fatigue detector and traffic sign recognition. As for the range of engines, petrol solutions are available, thanks to the new 100 HP 1.0 T3 GSE engine and diesel, with the 1.6 Multijet offering two power levels, 95 HP and 130 HP. The new Fiat Tipo range it will be available in dealerships from the end of November, with prices starting from 13,900 euros.
