Santo Domingo.– Douglas Escotto, Fernando Villalona’s lawyer, reported this Friday that El Mayimbe has always had the intention of paying his brother Martín’s labor benefits, however he refuses to accept the amount that corresponds to him.

“Martín Villalona was evicted on April 5, 2012 and from that moment Fernando Villalona made him the proposal to pay him all of his benefits that at that time corresponded to him, however Martín has refused to receive the values ​​​​that correspond to him alleging that a greater amount assists him, ”said Escoto.

The lawyer also said that in September 2021 Fernando Villalona SRL’s company advanced Martín a significant amount of his employment benefits and by then he signed as received amount paid as advance of his liquidation.

Escotto assured that in 2022 at the time of closing the employment contract, Martín was calculated all the rights that corresponded to him to date and the amount that had been advanced was discounted, a situation that the trombonist has not wanted to acknowledge. for which, according to the Mayimbe lawyer, the musician proceeded to sue.

“After all this, an attempt was made to pay Martín beyond the amount of money that corresponds to him, refusing Martín Villalona to receive said values, arguing that he was not satisfied with the amount offered, even though said amount was greater than what really corresponds to him,” he pointed out. lawyer.

Escotto reported that in view of the lawsuit and Martín’s refusal to accept the funds that actually correspond to him for labor benefits, on April 26, 2022, twenty-one days after the termination of the employment contract, the offer by means of a real offer of payment, a procedure established by law when the worker refuses to receive the values ​​and, also on that occasion, Martín refused to receive it, for which reason the court has been asked to validate said real offer of payment itself court that Martin Villalona had already seized.

“It is important to note that Fernando Villalona has had the intention of paying his brother Martín Villalona who worked in his company for just over 39 years and from the very moment of the termination of Martín’s employment contract, El Mayimbe has wanted to complete the payment of the labor benefits that assist his brother, as he has done with other employees,” said Escotto.
