FC Kronenbourg hosted the Thionville reserve, promoted to Regional 1, in heavy heat. In the first half, both teams tried to gain the upper hand but failed to do so. Shortly before the half-hour mark, the Mosellans found the fault on a cross from the right for a victorious header from Callegari (0-1, 27th). Two minutes later, another opportunity for the Lorraines, but the Cronenbourgeois defense emerged victorious.
Shortly before half-time, the Brewers came back to the score thanks to their captain Moncada who sent a missile from the right (1-1, 41st). Returning from the locker room, the Cronenbourgeois team had the ball more often and sought to take the lead, but the Thionville defense did not give in.
At the hour mark, the locals were thinking of the advantage: a cross from the right for Oliveira Malucha who took it from the right but the Moselle goalkeeper took the ball out for a corner. Then came the Alsatian collapse. In two minutes, Thionville scored twice: first Callegari in the 66th minute from a corner (1-2), then Aguenana two minutes later from a dazzling counterattack (1-3).
FCK tried to get back on track but did not succeed despite Oliveira Malucha (83rd) and, in added time, Rabah, who entered the game, drove the point home by scoring from the left (1-4, 90+2).
