FC Groningen has attracted Nigel Bertrams. The goalkeeper is transfer-free and signs a contract for one season, with an option for another year.
By attracting the goalkeeper, FC Groningen quickly has a replacement for Jan Hoekstra, who was rented out to Roda JC. Bertrams will become second goalkeeper behind Sergio Padt.
The 27-year-old Bertrams went through the PSV youth academy and played in the Netherlands for Jong PSV, Willem II and NAC Breda. After a transfer to the Danish FC Nordsjaelland, the goalkeeper played for De Graafschap and MVV.
