At a federal court hearing in Grandrepids, Michigan, where five of the 13 men indicted last week were sentenced to bail, FBI agent Richard Trask said the men, who were outraged by Covid-19’s containment measures, had spoken of, among other things, “the current governor’s “Michigan and Virginia,” the U.S. media reported.

Trask said the group had ultimately decided to focus on the abduction of the Michigan governor, as well as attacking the police and perhaps launching a “civil war.”

After infiltrating two separate groups with similar targets, FBI agents and Michigan police broke up the conspiracy last week as the 13 men tried to join forces, weapons and equipment.

The conspiracy confirmed the FBI’s warnings that white racists and anti-government militants had become a major domestic terrorist threat to the United States.

Trask said the men from Michigan had met like-minded people on the Internet from several other states discussing actions against government officials.

Whitmere and Nortem are Democrat politicians who are president of the United States Donalds Tramps has repeatedly criticized Covid-19 containment measures and other cases.

Trasks said Whitmer’s abduction plan included a parody of her trial, taking her to another state, or leaving her in a boat in the middle of Lake Michigan.

At a press conference, Nortem accused Trump of encouraging such a mood. The governor noted that after his and Wheater’s decisions to introduce face masks and social distancing measures in April, Trump called on people to “liberate Virginia” and “liberate Michigan.”

“This threat, this rhetoric does not come from another country, it comes from Washington. And it must be stopped,” Nortem said. “Words Mean to People (..) When phrases like ‘liberate Virginia’ are used, people find meaning in those words and these things happen.”
