The 23-year-old man who has been missing since last week is now officially wanted by the FBI. The arrest warrant does not deal with the death of his girlfriend Gabrielle “Gabby” Petito (22), but illegal use of a bank card. According to the FBI, Laundrie must have spent the equivalent of 10,000 kroner on a bank card that does not belong to him in the period 31 August to 1 September. He knew the code for the bank card, writes the local newspaper My Sun Coast.
The neighbors responded
It was September 1 that Laundrie showed up at his parents’ home, after being on a trip he went on with his girlfriend Gabby. She was not with him, despite the fact that he was driving her van, and Gabby was later found killed on the outskirts of a national park in the state of Wyoming.
Recently, the neighbors of Laundrie’s parents went out to the media with observations they had made on September 11, the day Gabby was reported missing by her mother. Neighbors Charlene and William Guthrie say they observed Laundrie and his parents pack their belongings and leave their home in a caravan the same day Petito was reported missing.

New details from the parents
The neighbors were surprised that the couple was going on a camping trip with their adult son in such a small caravan. Since then, none of the neighbors have seen the son in the house, and it is uncertain exactly when the parents returned home. On September 14, three days after the neighbors saw the family leave with the caravan in tow, the parents reported Laundrie missing. Since then, the police and the FBI have searched for the 23-year-old in the nature area near the house.
New details about Laundrie’s disappearance have now been announced. According to the parents, the son left the house to go for a walk. They will later have realized that he had left without his phone and wallet, and they fear that he may be a danger to himself, writes CNN.

Petito and Laundrie set out on a trip in July, and were scheduled to end their trip in the state of Oregon in October. They were supposed to document their trip on Instagram, but barely two months after they set out on a trip, Gabby disappeared.
On August 12, the couple had been stopped by police in the state of Utah after a report of violence. A police video shows an upset Petito explaining that she had beaten Laundrie in an argument. The police asked them to spend the night apart, but did not open a case.
The last safe sighting of Petito was when the couple checked out of a hotel in Salt Lake City on August 24. One week later, Laundrie arrived at her parents’ house in the van the couple had set out on a trip in, and two weeks later, Petito was found killed.
Police are still searching for Laundrie, who has disappeared without a trace.
