Sacramento has already collaborated with Lopez in Lille
To replace him, the former LOSC boss has established a short list of four names: Lucien Favre (63), David Guion (53), Vladimir Petkovic (57) and Joao Sacramento (32). The first has been free since his ouster from Borussia Dortmund on December 13; the second left the Stade de Reims this summer; the third has been Switzerland’s coach since July 1, 2014; while the fourth has already collaborated with Lopez in Lille between January 2017 and November 2019. He was Christophe Galtier’s deputy before joining José Mourinho at Tottenham then at AS Roma. Discussions are ongoing.
