The American top expert in the field of infectious diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, says in an interview with CBS that he is “absolutely not” surprised that President Donald Trump became infected with the corona virus.

“I was afraid he would get sick when I saw him in a completely precarious situation in a busy place, with no distance between people and hardly anyone wearing a mouth mask. When I saw that on TV, I said, Oh my goodness. Nothing good can come out of that, that must be a problem ”, says Fauci. “Sure enough, it turned out to be a super spreader event.”
Fauci appeared to be referring to the meeting in the White House garden where Trump announced that Judge Amy Coney Barrett was his choice to replace Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court. At least twelve people tested positive for Covid-19 after attending the September 26 event. Although the ceremony was held outside and many attendees were tested before admission, photos and videos from the event showed few people wearing masks, many people greeting each other with hugs and handshakes, and sitting very close together. Encounters also took place indoors, with hardly any masks or distance.
