NEW YORK – Police are searching for a man they say robbed a father and his 6-year-old son at gunpoint as they returned to their Bronx home from a Yankees game earlier this week. authorities say.
The 40-year-old father and his son were ambushed as they were walking into the lobby of their building near Sheridan Avenue and 161st Street around 9 p.m. Monday, surveillance footage showed.
Moments later, a stranger approaches them and pulls out a gun, pointing it at the man and his son as he stole about $30 from the father. The gunman then fled.
No injuries were reported.
