A seven-year-old girl wanted to go to a fast-food restaurant in Chicago with her father on Sunday – now the child is dead, shot dead. The girl’s father was injured in the shooting.
It was supposed to be a harmless excursion for father and daughter, but it turned into a deadly tragedy. A seven-year-old girl was shot and killed while visiting a fast food restaurant in Chicago, Illinois. The child’s father, whom police identified as 29-year-old Jontae Adams, according to Fox News, was injured in the shooting on Sunday evening (local time).

According to the investigators, the 29-year-old visited a branch of a well-known fast food chain with his daughter Jaslyn in the afternoon. After father and daughter picked up their order at a drive-in counter, they both enjoyed it in the car in a parking lot. Suddenly, however, previously unidentified people got out of another car and opened fire on Jontae Adams’ car.

The seven-year-old child was shot several times and was fatally injured as a result, and the father was shot in the torso. Police present in the area at the time of the shooting attended to the victims of the shooting immediately, and the father and daughter were taken to hospital. While the doctors could only determine the death of the seven-year-old Jaslyn, her father fights for his life after the shots; his condition was described as serious.
Motive unclear! Police are looking for suspects
The circumstances that led to the fatal shots in Chicago must now be clarified through police investigations. Suspects have not yet been arrested by the police.
