A 34-year-old man suffered fatal injuries when he fell over a railing into an entrance area below in Linz’s inner city on Sunday night.
“On March 10, 2024, at around 3 a.m., a 34-year-old fell over a railing about three meters deep in the outdoor area of the Linzer Passage and suffered serious head injuries. Passers-by provided first aid and notified the emergency services. The rescue and the Emergency doctors carried out ongoing resuscitation until he was taken to the UKH Linz, where the man, who came from the Urfahr-Environment district, died shortly afterwards due to the severity of the injury. Witnesses interviewed independently stated that the fall was their own fault and that it was their own fault “It was an accident,” reports the police.
According to media reports, witnesses apparently observed that the man leaned dangerously over the railing there and apparently lost his balance.
