The police received a report about the fall accident on Monday morning and the emergency services responded.
Veggen is a 489 meter high mountain and tourist destination located between Hauklandstranda and Uttakleiv.
After an hour, the woman was lifted into a helicopter and transported to Leknes Airport. The same afternoon, the police confirmed that it was a foreign national who lost his life.

– This is an accidental accident which unfortunately ended with a tragic outcome, says Finstad-Steira.
