Just across the provincial border, in Zevenhuizen in Groningen, a motorist was killed tonight after he hit a tree. That happened at De Kromme Kolk. The driver died on the spot from his injuries. It is not known how the accident happened.
The police announced on Twitter that it concerns a 24-year-old man from the municipality of Westerkwartier in the province of Groningen. The road was temporarily closed to traffic.
