Tyrese Gibson is hoping to save his marriage, reports the Fast and the Furiousactor shortly after announcing his divorce Instagram.
“I pray we keep the door open,” Gibson addresses his wife Samantha Lee Gibson under a compilation video of his wedding. “For the God we serve can move mountains and make an impossibility a possibility.”
Gibson claims to be a better servant of God, a better friend, and a better father thanks to Lee Gibson. “I owe everything to you.”
According to the actor, a connection can be made between his second stranded marriage and the difficult circumstances under which black men would grow up without, for example, a father figure in the house. “How can we know how to be something without examples?”
Gibson raised without a father figure
Gibson was still young when his father left the family. The actor and his three siblings were raised by their mother alone. In 2017, the actor bought a house for his mother, who was addicted to alcohol during his childhood.
Gibson wanted to celebrate that his mother had not relapsed into her alcohol addiction for eleven years. “27 years of alcohol abuse has ruined my childhood,” the actor said.
On Wednesday, Gibson and his wife announced they were going together after three years of marriage divorce. The couple then announced that they wanted to remain good friends.
