Despite the clear “no” of Michalis Chrysochoidis for a tractor descent in Athens, the farmers are organizing for the big rally next Tuesday in Syntagma. The farmers stress that the Prime Minister’s announcements were “ashes in the eyes” while at the same time warning that if their demands are not met, they will escalate their mobilizations.
A large, wide meeting will be held at the headquarters of the Greek police on Monday morning, with the participation of senior officers from all over the country, in order to draw up the operational plans for the descent of the farmers for the big rally.

The Greek police are considering two scenarios, Open reported. One is for the farmers to insist and want to enter the center of Athens with tractors en masse. From the police point of view it is clear that this will not be allowed as the police forces do not intend to allow such a thing in the heart of the capital.
The second scenario is that there is an agreement to allow the entry of a small number of token tractors to line the course. In Sunday’s meeting, two business plans will be drawn up for both of these scenarios and whichever one is appropriate will be implemented depending on the conditions and the intentions of the farmers.

“Anyway we will go down with tractors and buses and cars. We are sure that there will be a very large rally not only with the large and massive participation of the farmers but also of the people of Athens who feel the accuracy on their skin” said the president of the Platykampos Block Coordination Committee, Rizos Maroudas.
“The point is that we don’t want to create problems, that’s what we emphasized to the minister in the city. We want to go peacefully and do our rally and get up and leave nicely and nicely” said the president of the Agricultural Association of Alexandria, Giorgos Diamantopoulos.
