Farmer’s protest: farmers back away from AH distribution center in Tilburg

Protesting farmers on tractors block several roads on Monday afternoon, including outside the province. For example, there are several blockades on the A67 at the Belgian border and traffic on that highway is also blocked at Venlo.

“Traffic can currently pass through the hard shoulder to the German border,” Rijkswaterstaat reports. At Helden, the A67 is now tractor-free again, as previously reported, but the access ramps are still closed.

Traffic is moving again at Hapert after the police intervened there. Furthermore, the A1 towards Germany is closed near Hengelo due to a demonstration against the government’s nitrogen policy. At the request of the police, Rijkswaterstaat has closed the road at the Buren junction.

Slow-moving traffic on the A28 from Groningen to Zwolle causes nuisance for road users near Meppel. On the A37, between the Dutch border and Zwartemeer, in the direction of Hoogeveen, the road is blocked by agricultural vehicles.
