‘Farmers’ from Zwolle restart Bonaire | Stan Huygens Journal

Star chef Jonnie Boer went to Bonaire with his wife Thérèse and their children Jimmie and Isabelle for five days to restart the business at Delphin’s Resort. About seventy guests attended the sold-out opening night. They enjoyed the culinary surprises of chef Stefan Martens and Jonnie Boer, while host Feike Postma presented the new menu with an artistic-looking mouth mask.

According to Arjen de Wolff of the island newspaper Amigoe, in the morning hours Jonnie had picked the sea purslane or sea banana on which the red snapper fish lay in the sea. The Boer family is now back in De Librije, which is largely fully booked in the coming months. The homecoming was a surprise. The house was flooded due to a burst water pipe. “From the sun to the drip”, the number one chef responded laconically.
