“Family in Bogor Subjected to Persecution by Group of People: Police Suspect Friction as Trigger”

Acts of persecution of a group of people against a family in Bogor viral on social media. The police suspect that the abuse occurred because the perpetrators did not accept being separated.

South Bogor Police Chief Kompol Diana Sulistiawati said the abuse occurred after one of the victims broke up a commotion between the perpetrator and other residents. The commotion itself occurred due to friction between the motorbike and the car belonging to the perpetrator and residents.

“As for the initial trigger, it was Monday (24/4) at 20.00 WIB, initially there was friction between the car and the motorbike causing a commotion. Then they intervened, it turned out that the residents who owned the gallon shop had separated themselves, they finally left,” said Diana, Wednesday ( 26/4/2023).

“But as it turned out, they came back with some of their colleagues and asked the owner of the gallon shop, so the owner of the gallon shop didn’t know what the problem was in the end they were affected (persecuted),” he added.

The perpetrators, said Diana, were not under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

“There was no (the influence of alcohol). So at that time there was no drinking alcohol. Only because the dispute started from a car and motorcycle collision,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, a family member of the victim of the persecution named Azhar said that his younger brother had managed to break up the fight and instead was being chased by the perpetrators.

“At the beginning of the incident, the Nias group was fighting and making noise on the street with residents. My younger brother was the one think even beaten. My family, who was in the yard, saw my sister being chased and immediately called my sister to come into the house,” Azhar said, met at the South Bogor Police.

“Finally my sister was able to enter the house. However, my father, who was carrying the baby and the baby’s mother, was still left in the yard. Got hit by both of them,” he added.

As previously reported, a post that narrated a husband and wife (couple) and their daughter experienced abuse by a group of people in Bogor City went viral on social media. The police said they would act according to procedure.

One of the posts on the Twitter account @ajolajolan stated that his family, which consisted of his father, mother and younger sister, was abused by a group of people. They said they needed help.

“Want to ask for help from Twitter residents. My family was hit by a group/community/bondage/family (mentioning a certain group),” wrote the Twitter account @ajolajolan seen detik.com, Wednesday (26/4/2023).

The abuse is said to have occurred in Harjasari Village, South Bogor District, Bogor City, on Monday (24/4), around 20.00 WIB. The perpetrators, numbering around 10 people, allegedly did not accept being separated when they were involved in a commotion with residents.

“The group immediately blindly beat the father (who was still holding the baby) black and blue. My younger sister, who was screaming hysterically, was also beaten,” wrote the account owner.
