A field of canes fell victim to flames last Saturday at Guillaume Saint-Paul. Although no witnesses were present during the incendiary scene, everything suggested that the author of the fire was none other than Dimitry H. The latter appeared in front of the Saint-Denis court yesterday.
He is accused by his mother herself, as well as by dallions, stating that he often spoke of “setting on fire”. He would have done tests beforehand with banana leaves, before using cane straw on D-Day.
Dimitry H. would have burned this cane field, where he is a tenant, to go against his family. The 39-year-old is said to have serious psychiatric problems, as well as a strong addiction to alcohol.
“Everyone knows he is an alcoholic, but Domenjod is not the solution, he is not a health center“, underlines his lawyer, Chantal Laguerre. However, the prosecutor considers that Dimitry H”is too dangerous” and that”he should not have been tried immediately. The defendant had in particular confided to hear “the voices of Satan“.
Already sentenced 8 times, including 3 in 2020, the latter was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment, with continued detention. Dimitry H. takes over the management of the penitentiary center for 14 months, with the 2 months of the partial revocation of the old sentence.
