You’ve probably come across this photo in recent days – it was viral by various kinds of garbage dumps like Dvacha with a typical right-wing message: “Rockstar caved in to sjw, hired only women, women don’t know how to do anything, don’t expect anything good from the new GTA.” Fortunately, there are still people on the Internet with critical thinking who are ready to bring the truth to the deep world 🫡

So where is this photo from? From the official Rockstar Career Twitter. What is this? This is a half-dead account dedicated to vacancies in the company.

On March 8, 2019, the account posted congratulations on International Women’s Day, attaching a photo of employees of this branch standing in front of the Rockstar North building (Edinburgh):

Obviously, on the occasion of the holiday, the task was to show all or almost all female representatives employed by the company. I understand that not all people reading this post have worked in large organizations, so I’ll explain: there are a ton of positions and offices out there. Accounting, HR department, secretaries, lawyers, security officers, the same SMM, etc. This is the first thing.

Secondly, probably many of the girls from the photo are actually involved in one way or another directly in the development. But what exactly does this tell us? How exactly does this affect the final product? The photo was taken in March 2019, and RDR 2, by consensus one of the greatest games in history, was released on October 26, 2018 on consoles and on November 5, 2019 on PC. That is, most of you were enjoying this wonderful game at a time when all these girls were already working at Rockstar. To be fair, the release on PC was quite problematic, but the game was quickly patched up.

And finally, a few similar photos with real guys (Sources – private accounts of Rockstar employees on LinkedIn, for some reason I didn’t find how to provide direct links to content from this social network):
