Presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan said there was a minister who controlled more than 340 thousand hectares of land.

He conveyed this in the third debate for the 2024 presidential election, Sunday night (7/1). Read more in the article fact check CNNIndonesia.com.

“Meanwhile, according to Pak Jokowi, the minister owns more than 340 thousand hectares of land in this republic, this must be changed,” said Anies.

Anies actually did not clearly mention the name of the minister in question. However, presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto interrupted him. Prabowo said the data submitted by Anies was wrong.

The issue of land ownership of hundreds of thousands of hectares was one of the discussions addressed to Prabowo by Jokowi in the 2019 presidential election.

In the debate, Jokowi said that Prabowo owned 120 thousand hectares of land in Central Aceh and 220 thousand hectares of land in East Kalimantan in the 2019 presidential candidate debate.

On the same occasion, Prabowo admitted that he controlled a number of state-owned lands on the basis of Cultivation Rights (HGU) status. Not private property. Therefore, he is ready if he has to return it to the state.

In the news CNNIndonesia.com In February 2019, former Vice President Jusuf Kalla admitted that he signed a land use permit on the basis of Cultivation Rights (HGU) for Prabowo Subianto in 2004 when he was still vice president.

JK said that the land was initially under the supervision of the National Banking Restructuring Agency (BPPN) because of bad credit at Bank Mandiri.

Prabowo then came to JK to buy the land. JK also allowed the purchase of the land, but on the condition that payment be made in cash worth US$ 150 million.

The HGU information was not written in the State Administrators’ Wealth Report (LHKPN) that Prabowo reported for the 2022 period.

In Prabowo’s 2022 LHKPN, Prabowo’s land assets consist of 10 units of land and buildings. The details are nine land and buildings in the Bogor Regency/City area and one land and building in the South Jakarta area with a total asset value of IDR 275 billion.
