Leipzig (dpa/sn) – The police searched several apartments in Leipzig-Connewitz on Wednesday morning for indications of possible left-wing extremist crimes. This was confirmed by the Saxon State Criminal Police Office on request in the morning. The spokesman did not want to give details, referring to the competence of the federal prosecutor. In a trial at the Dresden Higher Regional Court, the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office accuses the student from Kassel and three men from Leipzig and Berlin of attacking and beating up people from the right-wing scene in Leipzig, Wurzen and Eisenach between 2018 and 2020. In addition, the formation of a criminal organization is accused.
