Hockey players of MHK 32 Liptovský Mikuláš won Tuesday’s match of the 3rd round of the Tipos extra league over HK Dukla Trenčín 4: 0. It was the first victory for the Liptovs in the season, their goalkeeper Tomáš Vošvrda caught the premier net account of the season and the 15th overall in the highest Slovak competition.

The British goalkeeper Bowns made his extra-league debut in the visitors’ goal, but he will not mention it well. The Liptov team started with the aim of winning the first victory of the season and followed it in the first third. At the end of the offensive action in the 7th minute was Paločko, who was ideally oriented in front of Bowns – 1: 0. The guests, who lacked several players due to health problems, also tried for an offensive, but the goalkeeper Vošvrda was attentive. His counterpart capitulated for the second time in the 13th minute, when he was not enough for Uhrík’s shot from behind the player – 2: 0. Shortly afterwards, the home goalkeeper faced a confusing situation in which Paukovček and Krajč were close to the goal, but they did not change the score.
In the 23rd minute, the home team achieved an important goal to 3: 0 after Kriška took the puck to Kudlov and found an uncovered Urban with a pass – 3: 0. After this goal, the Trenčian goalkeepers took turns and Valent replaced Bowns, who took home a 70 percent success rate from his extra-league debut. Shortly afterwards, the home team got to the first power play in the match, in which the goalkeeper Valent had to be alert and held his team. In the next weakening in the 36th minute, however, he was not enough for Kriška’s shot – 4: 0. The people of Trenčín were able to match the number of shots at home, but their experiments could not surprise the attentive Vošvrd.
In the third period, the guests tried to return to the match, but they were hampered by the active defense of the Liptovs and their own fouls. Vošvrda held Liptákov with a promising chance for Mikysk in the 45th minute, but Valentček’s opportunity was missed by Paloček’s chance. Trenčians had a shooting advantage in the final part, but even Minárik’s chance did not bring a goal, so the “soldiers” scored their second loss of the season.
