In the Belgorod region Russia near the border with Ukraine, an ammunition depot caught fire.

The governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov writes about this in his Telegram.

“At about 3:35 I woke up from a loud sound, similar to an explosion. So far, not a single duty service of the city and the region has found the cause of this sound. The search continues, I will immediately inform you of the results. While I was writing this message, three more explosions sounded,” he said. .

Later, the official added that he had learned from the head of the Golovinsky settlement that an ammunition depot was still burning near the village of Staraya Nelidovka.

“There is no destruction of residential buildings, no houses. There are no casualties among the civilian population,” Gladkov said.

Belgorod Telegram channels are already actively distributing photos and videos of the warehouse fire.

Old Nelidovka is located a few dozen kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

It should be noted that this is not the first such incident at Russian military facilities in recent times. On April 1, it became known that oil depot caught fire in Belgorod. The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, then reported that two people were injured in the fire – these are oil depot workers.

Another oil depot the other day caught fire in Bryansk.
