Introduction

In this class project, students will explore the topic of consumption and entertainment in today’s world. They will investigate and analyze how consumption and entertainment influence their daily lives and society in general. They will also reflect on the positive and negative effects of consumption and entertainment and propose practical solutions to problems related to these issues.

Activities

Session 1: Teacher activities: Present the project and explain the objectives Facilitate a discussion about consumption and entertainment in today’s society Introduce key concepts, such as consumerism, advertising and media Present examples of consumer and entertainment products and services Student Activities: Participate in the discussion about consumption and entertainment Take notes on the key concepts presented Research a consumer and entertainment product or service of your choice Prepare a presentation (can be in digital format) about your research Session 2: Teacher Activities: Review and evaluate student presentations Facilitate a discussion about the benefits and challenges of consumption and entertainment Present information about responsible and sustainable consumption Guide students in reflecting on practical solutions to problems related to consumption and entertainment Student activities: Listen to classmates’ presentations and participate in the discussion Take notes on the benefits and challenges of consumption and entertainment Reflect on practical solutions to the problems raised Prepare a proposal for action to address a specific problem related to consumption and entertainment
