To the People’s Deputy Viktor Medvedchuk will change the measure of restraint. The prosecutor’s office will ask for a personal commitment for the people’s deputy suspected of high treason.
This was reported in the press service Office of the Attorney General.
Medvedchuk’s house arrest is coming to an end, so the prosecutors went to court demanding to choose a measure of restraint for the people’s deputy, who is suspected of treason and attempted looting of national values.
“The only preventive measure that the prosecution can petition for is a personal obligation with the imposition of duties on the suspect. On November 2, the Pechersk District Court of Kiev will consider the relevant petition of the prosecutors,” the message says.

- a ban on leaving Kiev without the permission of an investigator, prosecutor or court;

The prosecutor’s office also recalled that Medvedchuk is under round-the-clock house arrest in criminal proceedings for treason and assistance to terrorism.
Cases against Medvedchuk
In Ukraine to Medvedchuk on October 8 announced suspicion of high treason and aiding terrorism… We are talking about his participation in 2014-2015 in illegal schemes for the purchase of coal in the occupied Donbass. In this case, a preventive measure was chosen for him – round-the-clock house arrest.
Earlier, on May 11, Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova signed a message about suspicion to Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak, a deputy from the “OPZH”, in high treason and in an attempt to plunder national resources in the occupied Crimea.
They announced suspicion on three episodes: illegal transfer of a gas field to the Russian Federation; providing the Russian special services with information containing state secrets (about a secret unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine); conducting subversive activities against Ukraine – preparing a network of Russian influence in Ukraine called “Luch”.
In this case A preventive measure has been chosen for Medvedchuk – round-the-clock house arrest. Kozak is located outside Ukraine.
