“Expensive Nostalgia: Spanish Products Come with High Price Tag in Irish Store”

In recent weeks it has become fashionable on TikTok for Spanish citizens, who are in other countries for vacations or work, to share videos telling if there are national products in the area.

Now, some young Spaniards in Ireland have visited a typical Spanish product store and yes, all very nostalgic but very, very expensive.

Inside there are the typical salty cookies at 3.20 a plastic jar, García Vaquero cheese at more than 8 euros and even cleaning products of all kinds.

The most striking thing is the price of Cola-cao, which exceeds 15 euros. There are also Filipinos, Neapolitan cookies —those with cinnamon and sugar on top—, dinosaur cookies, yayitas and even pipes.

After seeing everything that is inside, he leaves a clear message: “After going around the store, if you want to get into debt and put your house in a mortgage, go ahead, come in here and buy something because you can’t see it. A kilo of Cola-Cao 15 turkeys”.
