– I was pissed off, says general manager Stig Furuseth at Frognerseteren Restaurant Oslo newspaper.

15 cans of hand-peeled prawns, five kilos of crayfish, 30 kilos of Gruyere cheese, just over two kilos of Coppa cheese, almost 15 kilos of Appenzeller cheese and 27 kilos of Emmentaler cheese were among the stolen goods from a refrigerated container outside the restaurant in Holmenkollåsen just before the New Year.

In the wake of the incident, Furuseth decided to keep an eye on Finn and Facebook. In that connection, he discovered that kilos of Swiss cheese were for sale for a reasonable price in a business that does not usually sell this type of product.

– This was Swiss cheese, and it is not something you can quickly get your hands on, he tells the newspaper.

The general manager notified the police about the advertisements he discovered, and on 12 January the police arrived at a business in Groruddalen, 17 kilometers from Holmenkollåsen. There, all the goods from the theft were found and seized.

The police have imposed a fine of NOK 18,000 on the general manager of the business in question for having negligently received the stolen goods. The man has refused to accept the subpoena, and the healing case with the Swiss cheeses will thus end in the Oslo district court in October.
