On Wednesday, May 11, at around 8 a.m., a gas line on Dorfstrasse in Bleibach was severed as part of dredging work. The fire department took care of it.
As the police announced on Thursday afternoon, the incident also resulted in a gas leak. The Gutach volunteer fire brigade took care of it, disconnected the line and thus prevented the surrounding buildings from being endangered. A short-term and precautionary closure of the village street for through traffic was lifted after consultation with the local energy supplier after a short time, the police added in their statement.
