Exactly six years ago, we were bugged by PT

It was the August 13, 2014 when, surprisingly, Hideo Kojima took to the Gamescom stage to reveal that he had made available a mysterious playable demo of a horror title he was working on with Guillermo Del Toro, then Oscar for The Shape of Water. Fans, needless to say, reached the PlayStation Store to download the aforementioned demo, baptized P.T. as a diminutive of Playable Teaser – playable teaser. What that teaser was, however, we were not given to know.

It was discovered by completing the terrifying demo, which struck the imagination of fans to the point of triggering a series of emulators and simil-emulators who took up the mechanics of the horror corridor in subjective. Arriving at the epilogue, the video teaser was unlocked with Norman Reedus announcing Silent Hills.

PT hid the Silent Hills announcement trailer, which was later deleted after the divorce between Kojima and Konami

Six years later, we know that game won’t happen – or certainly, not as expected, if ever rumors and rumors about Kojima’s return to the franchise are confirmed – and that Norman Reedus has become Samuel Porter Bridges in Death Stranding. However, beyond what will become of the famous horror saga signed by Konami, too Geoff Keighley, journalist and organizer of The Game Awards, he wanted to remember the turning of six years of P.T., with a celebratory tweet shared on his profile.

Following the divorce between Hideo Kojima and Konami, the Japanese publisher removed P.T. from PlayStation Store, with the result that the playable teaser is now jealously guarded by those who downloaded it and would lose it if they were to remove it.

Will Kojima be able to unleash his horror visions? According to clues about his future project, one would say yes – although for now there are still no real confirmations in full voice by the game director. However, we know with certainty that he wants to continue to build in the future video games «Weird» and over the top like the recent one Death Stranding, so a cross between these horror visions and brushstrokes could be particularly interesting to discover.

If you want to play Death Stranding, the first video game from independent Kojima Productions, you can buy it now both on PC that on PS4.
