Evi Hanssen, Hilde De Baerdemaeker and Jutta Borms launch meditation podcast | showbiz

showbizAfter the success of their #snoozemeditationchallenge and massive demand via social media, Evi Hanssen, Hilde De Baerdemaeker and Jutta Borms are launching their #sleepmeditationchallenge from today. In a few new episodes of ‘Nog 9 Minuten’, the focus is on a good night’s sleep. “We want to contribute not only to physical, but also to mental liberation,” the three said.




On March 1, 2021, radio and TV presenter Evi Hanssen, actress Hilde De Baerdemaeker and holistic physician Jutta Borms (winner ‘Expedition Robinson’ 2003) launched their three-week ‘Nog 9 Minuten’ snooze meditation challenge. The need for a daily dose of self-care to bring (or keep) mental balance back in balance was and still is very high.

Buoyed by the great reactions to their #snoozemeditationchallenge and after the massive demand via their social media channels, Evi, Hilde and Jutta will launch a new ‘Still 9 Minutes’ series from Tuesday 1 June. In another 21 free episodes, written and voiced by the 3 soul sisters and set to music by Belgian composer Patrick Hamilton, the focus in this #sleepmeditationchallenge is on a sound and satisfying night’s sleep.

“Evi, Jutta and I are not only good friends, but also convinced meditation practitioners,” says Hilde De Baerdemaker. “We started ‘Still 9 Minutes’ in March 2021 as an accessible introduction for people who have never meditated before, because we are convinced of the need for and the healing power of meditation. The meditations last nine minutes because that seemed ideal for our #snoozemeditationchallenge. Just under ten minutes and nine minutes is also the standard time that your alarm clock’s snooze button gives you before it goes off again.”

“Apparently it also takes 21 days for a person to acquire a habit”, Evi Hanssen adds. “Buddha also spent 21 days in meditation before he really became Buddha. A nice source of inspiration for our meditation challenges, I think,” laughs Evi.

“The 21 episodes of our #sleep meditation challenge focus on better sleep,” Jutta Borms continues. “Not only the content, but also the tone of voice and the music we use was adjusted compared to the morning meditations.”
