Everton are one of the teams competing for a place in the top four Premier League this season. The Toffees are currently in fifth place in the Premier League standings with 46 points from 26 matches.
They are only one point behind Chelsea who are fourth with 47 points from 27 matches. Chelsea will be Everton’s next opponent in the Premier League on Tuesday (9/3/2021) early morning WIB.
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti believes his team can compete with Chelsea to finish in the top four of the Premier League. Ancelotti also believes Everton this time it’s been better than the 0-4 loss at Stamford Bridge last season.
“I think we are better. We have more knowledge and more confidence in what we are doing,” Ancelotti said as reported by Sky Sports.
“We can compete with Chelsea. It will be difficult, we know that, because they are a great team but we can compete.”
Ancelotti believes that the match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge will be an important test of ambition Everton chasing the top four of the Premier League.
“Of course. We have 12 tests until the end of the season. Against Chelsea is the first, but there are many teams involved. Many teams are strong,” said Ancelotti.
