Eurovision. Tom Leeb’s song released

The song to be performed by Tom Leeb for France in the Eurovision 2020 competition, released Sunday evening on France 2, is a romantic ballad half in French, half in English, entitled “The Best in me”.

Performed by the singer on a stage at the foot of the illuminated Eiffel Tower, the song alternates verses in French and a refrain in English proclaiming You are the best in me (You are the best of me).

It was composed by the Swedish Thomas G: Son, Peter Boström and John Lundvik (already behind the song Euphoria, who won Eurovision in 2012, Tom Leeb, Amir Haddad (candidate for France in 2016) and Lea Ivanne.

according to The Parisian, the selected song was initially composed entirely in English by the Swedish trio, also Tom Leeb and Amir in have rewritten the verses in French.

The evening will take place on May 16

The choice of Tom Leeb – son of the humorist Michel Leeb – to represent France was announced on January 14 by France Télévisions.

The European song competition will take place in Rotterdam (Netherlands) on May 16.

France Télévisions intends to deploy a vast system on its antennas but also via a promotion campaign in the countries of theEurovision to increase Tom Leeb’s chances of success.

France has not won the Eurovision since the coronation of Marie Myriam in 1977.
