‘Girls’ actor Peter Scolari passed away | Celebrities

Scolari broke through in the 1980s with the sitcom ‘Bosom Buddies’, in which he appeared with Tom Hanks. The actors remained close friends and Hanks landed Scolari in his films ‘That Thing You Do!’ (1996) and ‘The Polar Express’ (2004) and its TV series ‘From the Earth to the Moon’ (1998).

The actor was seen in all seasons of the HBO series ‘Girls’ from 2012 to 2017. In it, he played the role of Tad Horvath, the father of the main character Hannah (Lena Dunham). Scolari won an Emmy Award in 2016 for his role.
