Eurostat: The minimum wage in Latvia is the second lowest in the EU

In Latvia, the minimum wage is currently 500 euros per month. It is lower in Bulgaria alone (€ 332).

The national minimum monthly wage does not exceed € 700 per month in Romania (€ 515), Hungary (€ 542), Croatia (€ 624), Slovakia (€ 646), the Czech Republic (€ 652), Estonia (€ 654) and Poland (€ 655). .

In Lithuania, the minimum wage is 730 euros per month.

The highest monthly minimum wages in the EU are currently in Luxembourg (€ 2,257), Ireland (€ 1,775), the Netherlands (€ 1,725), Belgium (€ 1,658), Germany (€ 1,621) and France (€ 1,603).

The highest minimum wage in the EU is almost seven times higher than the minimum wage set in the lowest bloc.

There are currently no national minimum wages in Austria, Denmark, Italy, Cyprus, Finland and Sweden.
