Eugenio Derbez and Alessandra Rosaldo have been married for more than a decade. And their marriage is one of the most high-profile in Mexican entertainment.
However, this union may not have ended in marriage, as revealed by the Mexican actor in an interview he gave to Caras México.
No refunds
The actor reveals that he had been in a relationship for six years, an extensive courtship with Alessandra, when she asked him a definitive question.
“He was very afraid of marriage, of commitment, he had the reputation of being ‘unmarriageable’ – Derbez stated -, who was here and there. And yes, he was terrified of commitment. Funnily enough, when he was with Alessandra, I remember him saying to me: ‘Are you serious or not?’ And I told him no. Nobody knew it, but we broke up, at some point in our relationship, around six years old.”
The actor stated that he opted for marriage after working as an actor and director of the film No Returns Accepted. It was then that he decided that the relationship had to get serious. He had already been thinking about it, the relationship was going to end and he was going to lose the singer.
“I understood that it was time to change, to settle down. At the same time, they accepted the budget for No Refunds Accepted, and I immersed myself fully in that film that is about Valentín, a womanizer, afraid of commitment, who did not want to settle down, however, this girl arrived who It changes life,” he said in the interview for Caras.

And he added: “So, I felt that that was my life, I felt like Valentin, that I had to settle down and become a responsible man, that’s when I decided to ask Alessandra to marry me, to the point of finishing the recording of No Returns Accepted on a Friday, and The next day, a Saturday, I got married. My life changed, my career too and that’s when I moved to the United States. “Everything was connected.”

Finally, Derbez and Rosaldo joined their lives on July 7, 2012, in the Regina Coeli Parish, in Mexico City.
