EU, USA, Canada and UK introduced new sanctions against Belarus

European Union, US, Canada and UK have imposed new sanctions against the regime Alexander Lukashenko.

“Today, in response to prolonged attacks on human rights and fundamental freedoms in Belarus, disregard for international norms and repeated acts of repression, we have resumed coordinated sanctions against individual individuals and legal entities,” the parties said in a joint statement.

New restrictive measures are being introduced against the background of the migration crisis on the border with Belarus, of which the West blames Alexander Lukashenko.
