The Sports Festival has transformed into the Estival des sports on Saturday and Sunday in Neuchâtel. Health crisis requires, the Sports Department of the City has changed the concept of its event. The focus of this event, however, has not changed. It was to get the population moving by offering them less usual and sometimes even offbeat sports activities.
Rather than bringing together all the participants on the same site, the Estival des sports took the form of a rally. Its development went beyond the geographical framework of the Jeunes-Rives. The Estival des sports included around fifteen activities spread over two different four-kilometer courses, one called family and the other strong. The concept of the Estival des sports was therefore clearly popular. 212 teams registered for a total of 775 participants. A very positive experience, to be used for the Sports Festival from next year, according to the organizers. / mne
