“Metta” won 2:1 (0:1) away from “Liepāja”.

In the 32nd minute, Giorgi Kucija put the hosts in the lead with a strong shot from the middle of the penalty area, but in the 49th minute, the ball flew into the home team’s goal from Liepaja defender Normunds Uldrikis, who tried to save the team from losing a goal on the goal line after Moamet Koria’s shot.

In the second half, there were more dangerous moments at the “Liepāja” goal. After Markus Ivulan’s kick from the penalty area, goalkeeper Vladislavs Lazarevs touched the ball and one of the Liepaja players hit it with his head from the goal line.

Ten minutes later, “Metta” took the lead for the first time in the game. After Randy Šibas’ cross from the right side of the field, Daniils Ulimbashev overtook the home team in the corner of the goalkeeper’s area, sending the ball into the goal with his foot – 2:1 in favor of “Metta”.

Liepājnieci had not scored in three matches in a row and the unbeaten streak has now reached five. “Metta” had seven games in a row without a win.

“Metta” won 2:0 in the first round match at home.

On Sunday, the “Valmiera” team, despite the club’s problems, beat RFS at home with a result of 2:0 and won the champions for the second time in the season, while “Riga” defeated “Auda” with 2:1.

On Tuesday, “Grobinas SC”/LFS will host “Daugavpils” and “Tukums 2000″/”Telms” – “Jelgavu”.

RFS takes first place with 25 points in 11 games, followed by “Riga” with 24 points. “Valmiera” is third with 20 points, “Daugavpils” has 18 points, while “Audai” and “Tukums 2000″/”Telms” have 14 points each. 11 points are now for “Metta” team, while “Jelgava”, “Grobinas SC”/LFS and “Liepāja” have eight points each.

The Premier League championship with the participation of ten teams takes place in four rounds, with each team playing 36 games. 180 games are expected to be played until November 9.

Last season, RFS became the champion for the second time, which ensured victory only in the last round, winning over “Metta” team with 1:0.
