Regensburg – Erzgebirge Aue presented itself with good morale at the end of the season. The Saxons won 2: 1 (1: 1) at SSV Jahn Regensburg after a deficit.

Charalambos Makridis ensured the leadership of the Upper Palatinate with his first second division goal. Pascal Testroet celebrated the equalization before the break (45. + 3). And in the final phase of the second half, Philipp Zulechner (87th) struck.

After a brisk first half, in which the Jahn worked out a chance increase, the game lost some level after the change of sides. Aue had more of the game after the break and rewarded himself after a tough fight thanks to Zulechner.

Regensburg did not benefit from the perfect start. After a cross from Sebastian Stolze, Andreas Albers’ header landed on the post, Makridis dusted off in the ninth game for Jahn’s first goal. Aue struck back all the later. In stoppage time of the first half, Testroet headed a free kick from the very active Philipp Riese.

The goalkeepers were repeatedly in the spotlight. But Regensburg’s Alexander Weidinger and Aues Robert Jendrusch stood out several times. The 1: 2 could not prevent Weidinger.
