Turkey will soon enter the list of the ten strongest economies in the world, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, quoted by Turkish media, BTA reports.

Turkey’s GDP growth at the end of 2021 will be in double digits, Erdogan, who spoke in the southern Turkish city of Gaziantep, said last night.
The president described his country as “the rising star of the 21st century”.

When we came to power, the central bank’s reserves amounted to only 27.5 billion dollars, and our debt to the IMF amounted to 23.5 billion dollars. Today, we are talking about $ 120 billion in central bank reserves and a lack of debt to the IMF, the Turkish leader said.
Erdogan said Turkish exports have reached a record $ 221 billion this year.

The economy is developing, the losses in the tourism industry have been largely overcome. Undoubtedly, 2022 will be even more successful for the tourism industry, the Turkish leader said.

The Turkish president also said that “some circles are dissatisfied with Turkey’s development”, recalling the recent changes in the exchange rate of Turkey’s national currency.

The country has faced unprecedented attempts to manipulate the foreign exchange market, but authorities quickly resolved the issue, Erdogan said.
