Johnson & Johnson has begun delivering its single-dose Covid-19 vaccine to EU member states. This was announced by MEP and member of the Health Committee in the European Parliament Peter Lise, quoted by Reuters.
The first deliveries were planned for the beginning of April, but due to distribution problems the quantities were delayed.
The US company is committed to delivering 55 million doses of the drug to the EU by the end of June and another 120 million in the third quarter.
The shipment of 50 million doses for the second quarter is safe, Lise said, noting that he had received this information from the company and the European Commission.
Johnson and Johnson have not yet been reached for comment.
