Even an avid player of StW here. Do not underestimate the StW community, which is still quite large, although that is of course relative to BR. The dime could stand out from two sides, for months EPIC tells us that they are really developen things for StW. They want to finish the story line (Twine Peaks), introduce new features and new content. They are also secretive about things they really can’t say anything about yet, but it is going to be GREAT! This would be better for StW, for instance by separating the seasons from BR and StW. With this, the StW community had to ‘have some extra patience’ in the last two weeks for all the beauty that will be announced from June 30 and you can all expect … Well, then EPIC comes up with the message, “the game is for us as good as finished “…. Not surprising that the EPIC community burns down completely after all the promises, bugs that persisted for months, countless ideas that users brought up when EPIC asked for it, ask the dev sessions, etc .. painful.

But let’s be honest, that’s how it goes, if a game doesn’t deliver what it should, and has been struggling for a while, it either needs a big boost, or it may (possibly) go out like a candle. The latter is what EPIC now chooses. In the past two years they have added some new things, such as the hero loadout change (completely different and new way of skills for your character) and the locker option (you can now also attract skins from BR in StW). All this under the guise of preparing for free to play. Apparently they have gotten a different insight or their insight never really shared. Nevertheless, the game is still playable, for the founders it is still possible to earn vbucks (an important element after all). The founders also all received an allowance in an upgrade or 8000 vbucks. And, they are introducing 1 new big thing to keep it playable in the long run, the ventures. I am still curious about that.

All in all, a bitter pill for the hardcore StW’er and the content creators there, but maybe it’s time to ‘move on’.

PS: do you want to become a founder, if I understood correctly, today the last chance. The new pack will be released from tomorrow, which does not include the option to earn vbucks in StW.
