Environmental Health provided workshops to women in Plaza Urquiza – Ministry of Public Health of Tucumán

Within the framework of promotion and prevention activities for Women’s Day, different programs with workshops for the community were brought together.

The reference of the Directorate of Environmental Health, engineer Julieta Migliavacca, commented that they were aimed at women with a look aimed at caring for the environment: ¨One of them taught them how to recycle cooking oil to make soap in bread, another era of crafts where they used plastic bags to make coasters with the technique of crocheting, they also learned to make candles with citronella, to produce recycled paper and we also had a hydroponics workshop, a family garden and furniture recycling¨.

Each one was in charge of management personnel and the response from the neighbors was very good: ¨ We are happy because everyone who participated left happily. As always, all the preventive measures established by the Ministry of Public Health were maintained, with social distancing, use of chinstraps and masks at all times, and alcohol ¨, said the referent.

Finally, Migliavacca said that they carried out an eco-exchange, where those who brought recyclable waste, took an ornamental plant or an indigenous tree in exchange. And, he announced that tomorrow they will also be in the place with the same activities.

The following programs are part of this health exhibition: Sexual and Reproductive Health, Prevention of Cervical Cancer, Breast Cancer, HIV, Nutrition and the Maternal and Child Youth Department of Siprosa. There, women can come to consult on different topics and, in addition, they can request the HPV test, in self-test mode, and mammograms in the woman’s trailer.
