Ghost is a hard rock / heavy metal band formed in 2008 in Linkoping, Sweden. In 2010 they released their first demo containing the single “Elizabeth”; later they released their debut album “Opus Eponymous” which received positive reviews and with it they made themselves known in different parts of the world.

They are famous for their quirky live performances in which five of the members wear the monk’s distinctive black robes covered up to the face; the vocalist, also known as “Papa Emeritus”, wears the typical cardinal dress.

His lyrics contain satanic blessings and various references to metal festivals.

In 2013, due to legal issues, they became known in the United States as Ghost BC Also, a curious lineup change takes place in a concert in his native Sweden, in which the singer Papa Emeritus hands the microphone and the pentagram with the cross to his successor, Pope Emeritus II.
