The Agi Cdr has meanwhile proclaimed a new strike for the entire day of Thursday 11 April, in application of the second package of mobilizations approved by the assembly of editors, and announces in a note that it reserves the right “to implement other initiatives of protest in defense of the independence and pluralism of primary information”: “Today – reports a note from the Cdr – the editors of the Agi were once again made aware of the publisher’s intentions by a press note and not by official communications to workers. The Cdr expresses its dismay at how one of the largest Italian multinationals, owned by the State, has been dealing for months with the professional and personal future of over 70 journalists, who are asking for a transparent path for the possible sale of the news agency and takes note how a private negotiation is preferred to a tender, by its nature a more suitable instrument for the correct valorisation of a company”.
