English guarantee that Middlesbrough can keep Sporar for a reduced price – Sporting

‘The Northern Echo’ says the Slovenian’s permanent return to the club is a possibility

Andraz Sporar could be back at Middlesbrough. Who guarantees this is the newspaper ‘The Northern Echo’, which adds that the forward who belongs to Sporting’s staff continues to be of interest to the emblem that will play in the Championship in 2022/23. The 28-year-old Slovenian forward spent one season on loan at Boro last season. He scored eight goals in 37 matches and could have stayed permanently at the British emblem if his promotion to the Premier League was confirmed and in exchange for 8.5 million euros. This did not happen, but the North Yorkshire emblem maintained interest and could advance to the Slovenian international for a lower price, according to the same source. The Alvalade club will have offered the player to several English clubs, including Middlesbrough, for around six million euros, but no proposal has officially emerged. Thus, Boro hopes to continue to rely on Sporar at a lower price. What is certain is that coach Chris Wilder likes the player, who has a contract until 2025, and would like to see him in the squad again, as he does not count for Rúben Amorim.

It should be noted that Sporting paid a total of seven million euros to sign him in 2020 from Slovan Bratislava. For the lions he scored 11 goals in 38 matches.

Tal as Record advancedDutch side Feyenoord have already shown interest in relying on the striker’s services.
