Sharjah, September 12 / WAM / Felipe Calderon, former President of Mexico, Honorary President of the Global Commission for Economy and Climate, and Jim Yong Kim, former President of the World Bank Group, will participate in the activities of the International Forum on Government Communication 2022 in its 11th session, to be held on 28 and 29 September at the Expo Center Sharjah, it presents a global vision to overcome the pressing development challenges related to sustainability and human development.
At the forum – organized by the Sharjah Government Media Office’s International Center for Government Communication under the slogan “Challenges and Solutions” – the two international officials present their vision on the importance of employing the arts of communication in their diversity to convince the public of decisions in support of the green economy, as well as how to adopt and implement government and social plans to achieve balance and outcomes in education, health, human capital building and the fight against climate change.
Felipe Calderon examines in a thought-provoking speech titled “Green Growth .. Decision Making Mechanisms” how to make environmental and economic policy decisions that satisfy the public interest and ways to persuade the public.
Former President of Mexico, Honorary Chair of the Global Commission on Economy and Climate, sheds light on the most important challenges in making “green growth” decisions and how to analyze reality and predict the future while implementing decisions environmental economic.
And in a main session entitled “Struggle for change … How to be?” Moderated by Lubna Bouza, chief editor of the economics department at Sky News Arabia, Jim Yong Kim explores the prospects for building government and engineering social change and transforming it into a successful culture.
The former president of the World Bank Group addresses the reasons why the problems of poverty, climate and disease are fundamental obstacles to change efforts and their relationship to government communication, to predict the future of communication between governments and peoples in the ‘face global changes.
Interestingly, the Government’s International Communication Forum is launching the slogan “Challenges and Solutions” this year with the aim of finding a set of best methods to address future problems through effective and reciprocal communication between the public and governments.
The International Government Communication Forum 2022 is a global platform hosting 160 speakers over two days of opinion leaders, thought and experts in the government communication sector who share their visions and analysis of the upcoming economic and social transformations and review the best methods and communication tools to address the public in unusual times.
