Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – During the investigation of a fallen part of the facade, Freiburg investigators suspect that a climber may have triggered the dangerous accident. The case is not closed, witnesses are still being sought, as a police spokesman said on request on Wednesday. Südwestrundfunk (SWR) had already reported.

The sandstone facade decoration fell to the sidewalk on October 29. There is a cinema in the Gründerzeit building. No one was injured on the Kaiser-Joseph-Strasse, which is also busy at night. As the police spokeswoman further reported, there is an expert opinion that degradation is not the reason. There are more climbers on buildings in central Freiburg.
