(Suncheon = Yonhap News) Reporter Jang Deok-jong = The representative of a city tour bus operator in Suncheon, South Jeolla Province, was found to have embezzled business expenses received from Suncheon City.
The Jeollanam-do Suncheon Police Station announced on the 29th that it had sent A, the representative of a tourism company in the Suncheon area, to the prosecution on charges of business-related embezzlement.
Mr. A is accused of illegally using 170 million won in city tour bus business expenses from 2021 to last year for company operating expenses.
It was investigated that Mr. A obtained business expenses by means of operating the bus even on days when there was no user.
The police made a decision not to send the case on charges of breach of duty by a public official in Suncheon City who was in charge of the city tour bus business.
